The Kharma train is leaving the platform, for the 16th year. All aboard!

The school for this year’s project is called Baan Huey Kong Moon and is in the same area of the last years, the Mae Sariang district. It is a small school but has 4 branches as the travel between the 4 areas is difficult. In total there are 124 kids, 19 teachers and helpers. As the civil war is still raging in Myanmar, again we have chosen a school not too close to the border but about 20km away. The head teacher is a friend of the head teacher of last year, so they know what we do. ‘No strings attached support’ from the Kharma family.

As the Kharma Foundation we will try to gather as much donations as possible to help as much as we can, together with you. As always, we focus on school material, food, sports equipment, toys, clothing, bedding, etc. If we manage a good enough amount, we will create better toilets, washing area and a better place to sleep for the teachers too. The pictures of the teacher’s huts at the school are quite shocking.

We separate the wishes of the school in different stages.

Stage 1: 100.000 Baht for school material, study, books, etc.
Stage 2: 150.000 Baht for sports equipment, toys, kitchen ware, clothing
Stage 3: 60.000 Baht for matrasses, blankets, pillows
Stage 4: 50.000 Baht for electrical stuff like laptops & solar lights, fans
Stage 5: 100.000 Baht to renovate toilets, huts

We keep you updated which Stages we manage to ‘clear’ and which Stages we still try to achieve.
I am not going to make a long email about how trustworthy we are, that 100% of donations will arrive at the schools, or why it is good to support us. You know all of this already.

What we do want to point out: if you want to support, do it, now, or set a reminder… as it is so easily forgotten. Often a week or a month after the project we get reactions of a few that wanted to donate, but forgot. It takes 5 minutes, easy peasy and its done.

We also love donations of secondhand clothing and toys, school and sports equipment. Anything really. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Good things happen when good people unite. Nothing positive happens without our positive intend and input.

Lastly: a genuine thank you. Thank you for your support, first timers and longtime donors. Thank you for the small and the big. Thank you for the interest and the love. Thank you to the companies that support & thank you to the individual.

We feel the love from you all and appreciate it tremendously, but more importantly, the children at the school feel your love. Thanks to all of you. Humanity has a future when we donate a little of our time, efforts and money to the betterment of others who are less fortunate.

May the festive season unite you with your loved ones, have an amazing and healthy 2026 and a very merry Christmas!

With regards,

The Kharmateers
